I have compiled the lyrics for the songs featured in the fantastic movie Once. The music features songs written and performed by the stars of the movie Glen Hansard (also of the band The Frames) and Marketa Irglova. You can purchase the soundtrack from Amazon or iTunes.

DVD comes out Dec 18. New extended version of soundtrack comes out Dec 4. I was able to hear the Swell Season concert in Austin TX Nov 15 -- catch them if you can!
Many thanks to you-all for contributing lyrics and chords; the lyrics here seem more accurate than any other site.

First, thank you thank you thank you for posting these lyrics. I've been entranced by these songs, and struggled to pick out exactly what they were saying at times.
Also, thanks to the person who translated that Czech phrase.
Does anyone know where I can find the guitar chord progressions for these songs? Maybe you, Caitríona?

The posting for the chords to "If You Want Me" was great...I just couldn't figure them out. Does anyone have the chords to "Say It To Me Now"...I'm stuck.
Thanks!

Here are the chords for The Hill:
G#m Eb/G G#m/F# E
And that repeats for the whole time.
The individual notes she plays with the right hand are:
G# F# E D# C# D# D# C# D# B
If you know the song, you'll know what I mean :-)

The song she plays at the piano is "The Hill", but only the first two stanzas of that song as given here

Can anyone translate her response to him when he asks her if she loves her husband?
I've been dying to know!

Anybody know the name of the song she's playing at the piano in the studio? The song she's sings right before she starts crying?
I don't even know if there's actually a complete version of it or not..but I really liked what I heard of it.

I just figured out the chords for "If You Want Me" (Aaron didn't list his e-mail)
Capo 4th fret:
Dm - Gm - A7
There's an additional guitar on top playing a picking pattern, but this will hold the song.
Pay attention to these particular chord voicings because they're important to the character of the song!:
Gm: 3x0330
A7: x02020

The translation is "No, I love you."

Thanks for the utube link. Turns out it's Opus 30 #6. BTW, you can download it (no charge) at http://pianosociety.com/cms/index.php?section=217
or from www.eMusic.com if you have an account there.

Answer to tok123
She played part of Mendelssohn's, Song Without Words.
I’m not sure which opus number it was though.
Someone is playing it on Youtube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDIoqMuhydA&mode=related&search=

Heyas mate - just want to say thanks for posting the full lyrics when no one else could. First thing I had to do when I heard the soundtrack (haven't seen the flick yet) was figure out the chords... then I found myself with a guitar and no words. Enter: you. Good job!

First, thank you very much for posting these lyrics. This was a beautiful movie. Their relationship struck an honest chord with me (no pun intended) much as did the one in Lost in Translation.
Second, the piano was absolutely from him (i.e. The Guy), not the husband. I think this is an important detail. (I could elaborate - perhaps I'll stop back here when I've got a few more minutes than now and do so.)
Thanks again.
